A Certified Public Accountant with controller and accounting experience across a diverse set of industries doing business around the globe, Cathy’s joined BBLS in October 2016.  Her multi-disciplinary financial skills are a unique and valuable addition to the BBLS team providing financial strategy and oversight as Controller.  Cathy’s resume covers a range of industries as Controller: medical diagnostic testing, aerospace, petrochemicals, energy, logistics, technology infrastructure and security and venture capital.  Her financial experience and skills make her especially suited to the BBLS efforts, adding value to BBLS portfolio companies, its co-investors, and to BBLS itself.

As BBLS evaluates, funds, and supports its portfolio companies, Cathy and her team work closely with legal to provide analytics and due diligence on potential investments, focusing on financial structure, tax and regulatory issues.  Cathy also oversees all operational functions including financial reporting and system design, contract administration, accounting, payroll and expense management.

Cathy has served as Controller for Biosensor Equipment LLC (medical diagnostics), Jet Lube Inc. (manufacturer of oilfield lubricants and specialty chemicals), NSL Aerospace, Timeline Deliveries Inc. (logistics and transport services), Accudata Systems (infrastructure and security), and American Door Products (building products and hardware).  In addition, Cathy worked as an accountant at CCG Venture Partners LLC (venture capital) and began her career at Arthur Andersen, where she became Senior Auditor for a variety of clients in the energy sector.  Her contribution as controller in many of these businesses helped aid in company growth, such as Accudata where revenues grew from $ 18m in revenue to $ 85m between 2002 and 2009.

Cathy has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1991, earning a BBA (Cum Laude) from the University of Houston.  She attended the United States Coast Guard Academy on a full scholarship and earned a full scholarship to the U.S. Military Academy.  Cathy is skilled and experienced with a variety of financial software and accounting packages from Dynamics Great Plains, Management Report, SmartConnect, SalesPad, Batchmaster, Global Shop, Connectwise, Comsense, Xcelerator, Real World Open Systems and of course, Quick Books Pro, which helps BBLS integrate and coordinate with various operating companies and co-investors easily.

Cathy brings a collaborative approach at all stages of strategy, planning and execution of BBLS’ initiatives that helps accelerate BBLS’ trajectory and goals.  Her family’s experience with cancer and other chronic diseases focuses her contribution and commitment to the BBLS efforts in regenerative medicine, cancer therapeutics and health and wellness.
